Driver Certificate of Professional Competence - Driver CPC
CRH is approved by JAUPT as a nationwide Training Centre
for the delivery of Driver CPC Periodic Training for both PCV and
LGV drivers, regardless of make and model of vehicle used.
Both new and existing drivers must complete a
total of 35 hours Periodic Training within the 5 years.
For new driver this is from the date they passed their
practical driving test, of older drivers with 'Grandfather rights'
10th September 2013 for PCV, 10th September 2014 LGV.
This means on average each driver must undertake an
approved training course of 7 hours (one day) each year.

Continuing our professional relationships CRH also provide
CPC training to Renault Trucks UK customers, and are able to
provide bespoke courses to any company if required.All training
delivered by CRH is applicable regardless of the make and
model of vehicle(s) operated or drivers.

Driver CPC Mix and Match Modular Courses – Pick two of the

Digitac Operation and Procedures
This course will assist drivers to understand how to use a number of industry standard Digitac devices ensuring legal compliance
Safe Vehicle Loading and Unloading
This course will assist drivers in determining load security, H+S procedures, practical and legal awareness and compliance
Customer Care
This course will give drivers an awareness of
common customer relations issues via a
knowledge of internal/external customer types.
Drivers Hours
This course is designed to explain the legal
compliance responsibilities relating to driving
operations and record keeping. Working time

Eco Driving
This course consists of vehicle design and technology utilising various driving styles and techniques to ensure safe and fuel efficient operation
Health and Safety in Transport
This course will explain drivers and operator's responsibilities, weight distribution, overloading,
overweight vehicles and traffic regulations including speed limits, parking and legal compliance
Highway Code and Legislation
This course topics include Road Traffic Regulations, Operators Licensing, Driver Licensing, Construction and regulations.
Pre-Operational Vehicle Checks
This course will inform drivers about daily vehicle checks, maintenance schedules and penalties as well as legal responsibilities, Legislation and identification of defects
Personal Wellbeing
This course covers Health + Safety requirements, risk assessment and acceptable working practise including duty of care
Manual Handling
This course offers an awareness of a variety of techniques, risk assessment, H+S and duty of care
Please note that for the Driver CPC Modular 3 course
both sessions must be completed within 24 hours

Out in 3
For minibus and PCV drivers, Out in 3 is a highly interactive
training program with an opportunity to put theory into practice,
Focusing on passenger awareness and evacuation
SAFED
Consists of assessment and training, intended to improve the safe and fuel efficient driving skills of drivers
Optifuel Renault Trucks UK
The purpose of Optifuel is to teach rational driving so that drivers can make the most of technological advances incorporated on the new Renault Truck ranges
