LGV C1 / C1+E Licence Training Course

The category C1 licence is for vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes gvw.
It is also a requirement for Ambulance drivers.

The category C1 is a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence.

At CRH we make it easy as possible for you to gain your LGV Licence. We want you to pass the test FIRST TIME!

CRH Training is widely acknowledged as the leading provider of LGV C1 / C1 + E training in the West Midlands and Staffordshire.

We have our own DVSA Approved test centre at West Bromwich. This means you can train AND test at the same centre. There is no wasted time or mileage travelling to reversing areas or test centres. The DVSA Examiners come to CRH.

We can handle everything for you, from supplying application forms and arranging your medical through to tailoring courses to your specific needs.

We have all our own fully modern vehicles (We are not brokers).

To obtain your licence you will need to complete the following steps:

1. Licence application

2. Pass medical inspection

3. Pass your theory test

4. Pass your practical test

Van and Trailer (Category C1+E)

If you have already passed your Van test (category C1) and you need to tow a trailer greater than 750kgs GVW, then you will need to take a Van and trailer test (category C1+E).

You do not need to apply for a provisional entitlement as you will automatically have a provisional C1+E added onto
your paper counterpart licence after passing your C1 test.
